Rick's City Diner

We ate lunch and had a good meal with good sized portions. My wife said that the chili was the best she's ever had. Even better than what she makes. I had a burger it was good and also a very generous size. The staff was very friendly and the restaurant was clean. The only minor complaint I had was that a burger that big needs more than one slice of cheese. This is a good place for lunch. I would recommend it to anyone. Next time I'll have to try breakfast.

This diner has long been one of my favorite restaurants for breakfast and lunch...however, today I ordered a spinach/cheese omelet and was charged extra, ---- more than it would have cost if I had just ordered a spinach omelet, which would have included cheese and tomatoes. (I did not want the tomatoes.) Most of the breakfast meals on the menu offered the option of fruit in place of potatoes, but I was charged extra...and another extra charge for one English muffin in place of toast. Needless to say, I was disappointed in this visit. As for food and service, they are usually excellent.

Pricey, but the service was great, the food was delicious and as busy as they looked we were seated immediately and had our food not long after we ordered it. Great place for a couple or for a whole family. Boston breakfast is what I recommend, cant wait to try their different versions of eggs Benedict!
